Privacy Policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
This is a working draft and will be finalized before Onaro launches.
This policy explains what information Onaro collects when you use our website and apps, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
From everyone who uses Onaro:
•
Account details: your name, phone number and email address, and the sign-in method you use (phone, Apple or Google).
•
Location: the address or map pin for a job, and your device’s location when you allow it, so we can show pros near you.
•
Job details: the service you request, your answers to its questions, photos you choose to add, messages with your pro, quotes and approvals, and ratings.
•
Device details: a notification token so we can send job updates, and basic app information such as version.
From pros, in addition:
•
Business details, the services you offer, your vehicle and plate, and a profile photo.
•
License and insurance documents and their details (issuer, number, expiry), used to review and approve you.
•
Your location while you are online or on a job, so customers can see you on the way.
We do not collect Social Security numbers or store ID scans.
2. How we use it
•
To match customers with nearby pros and run each job, from request to completion.
•
To show live tracking, send updates and notifications, and let customers and pros message each other.
•
To review pros’ licenses and insurance and keep the service safe.
•
To provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
3. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information.
•
Between a customer and their pro on a job: names, the job address, the pro’s vehicle, live location during the job, photos, messages and the quote.
•
With companies that run parts of Onaro for us, such as hosting and database (Supabase), maps (Mapbox), app delivery and notifications (Expo, Apple, Google), text messages, and payment processing. They may use it only to provide those services.
•
When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people using Onaro.
•
As part of a merger or sale of the business, with notice to you.
4. How long we keep it
•
Job photos and messages: up to 3 years after the job ends.
•
Documents of pros who were not approved: 90 days.
•
Expired license and insurance files: up to 2 years after they expire.
•
A pro’s last location after going offline: 1 day.
•
Notification history: 90 days.
•
Job records, quotes and fees: as long as needed for business, tax and legal records, without your personal details once your account is deleted.
5. Your choices
•
You can update your details in the app.
•
You can delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account). We erase your name, phone, email and saved address, remove your files, and close your sign-in. Job records stay for the period above without your personal details.
•
You can turn off location access or notifications in your phone’s settings; some features need them to work.
•
You can ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it by emailing us.
6. Security
Your information is encrypted in storage and in transit. Each person can see only the information they need: customers and pros see details of their own jobs, and only authorized Onaro staff can view pro documents.
7. Children
Onaro is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
