Terms of Service

Last updated October 11, 2026
This is a working draft and will be finalized before Onaro launches.
These Terms apply when you use the Onaro website or apps, as a customer or as a pro.

1. Welcome to Onaro

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Onaro LLC ("Onaro", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you use the Onaro website, the Onaro app or the Onaro Pro app (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.
If you use the Platform to offer services, the Onaro Pro Agreement also applies to you; if it conflicts with these Terms, the Pro Agreement controls for your work as a pro.

2. What Onaro does and doesn't do

Onaro is a technology platform that connects people who need a service ("customers") with independent service providers ("pros"). Onaro matches requests with nearby pros, shows prices, handles messaging, tracking and payments, and keeps a record of each job.
Onaro does not perform services. Pros are independent businesses, not Onaro employees, agents or contractors acting for Onaro. Each pro decides whether to accept a job and is solely responsible for how the work is done, including its quality, safety and compliance with the law. Your agreement for the work itself is between you and the pro.

3. Your account

•
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
•
Give accurate, current information and keep it up to date.
•
Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account; tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
•
One person per account. Don't sell, transfer or share your account.
•
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account), except while a job is in progress.

4. Requesting a service

•
Choose a service and answer its questions. Before you book, the app shows the price, hourly rate, or visit/diagnostic fee for that service, plus any service-specific rules (for example, whether photos are used).
•
Get matched. Onaro proposes a nearby pro. You confirm before the request is sent to them. A pro may decline, in which case we look for another.
•
On-site work. For services that need a diagnosis, the pro sends a quote in the app. No repair work starts until you approve the quote, and any extra work, parts or time beyond what you approved requires your approval in the app first.
•
Completion. When the work is done, you confirm it in the app (or, for some services, it is marked final after the time shown in the app unless you report a problem).
You agree to give the pro safe, lawful access to the job location at the agreed time, to describe the job honestly, and to tell the pro about any hazards you know of (for example, pets, mold, electrical or structural issues).

5. Prices and fees

•
Prices, rates and fees are shown in the app before you book and before you approve any quote. For hourly services, the minimum time and how extra time is billed are shown before you book.
•
Onaro may charge a service or booking fee, shown in the app before you confirm.
•
Prices may differ between pros and change over time. The price that applies to your job is the one shown when you booked and the amounts you approved during the job.
•
Taxes are added where required.
•
Emergency requests (booked through Emergency mode) are sent to nearby pros first and include an emergency fee of up to $49, set by the pro who accepts and shown in the app. The safety steps in Emergency mode are general guidance, not professional advice; if anyone is in danger, call 911.
•
First responders, active military and veterans can choose a thank-you discount (10% off each job, up to $50). Onaro may ask for proof of eligibility and may remove the discount if it’s misused. Onaro covers the discount; it doesn’t reduce what the pro is paid.
•
Neighbor deals (15% off some scheduled services when a neighbor books the same service that day) apply only if another booking still qualifies; Onaro covers the discount.
•
If you book a job for a time you won’t be there, you confirm you’re allowed to let the pro in and that the entry steps you give are accurate. Onaro shows them only to the pro on the job.
•
A Home Health Record link you share can be opened by anyone who has it until you turn it off. It shows the equipment and work done, not prices, names or contact details.

6. Payments

•
You pay through the Platform using a payment method you add. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); Onaro doesn't store your full card number.
•
Nothing is charged before your pro arrives. You are charged for the visit or diagnostic fee (where the service has one) once the pro is on site, and for approved work and extras when the job is complete, as shown in the app. If you approve a repair, the diagnostic fee is included in the repair price, not added on top.
•
Onaro collects payments on behalf of the pro as their limited payment collection agent. Paying Onaro counts as paying the pro.
•
Pay only through Onaro. Arranging or making payment outside the Platform for a job found on Onaro isn't allowed and removes the protections of the Platform.
•
If a charge fails, we may retry it or ask you to update your payment method, and we may pause new requests until the balance is paid.

7. Cancellations, no-shows and refunds

•
You can cancel a request in the app. Cancelling is free until the time shown in the app (for example, before a pro is on the way). After that, a cancellation fee shown in the app may apply.
•
If a pro cancels or doesn't arrive, you aren't charged, and we'll try to find another pro.
•
If you aren't available at the job location when the pro arrives, a no-show fee shown in the app may apply.
•
Problems with the work: report them in the app as soon as possible, and before the job is final. Onaro will review the job record (messages, quote approvals, photos where used) with you and the pro and decide whether a full or partial refund, a return visit or another remedy is appropriate. Our decision on Platform refunds is final, but it doesn't limit any rights you have directly against the pro or under the law.

8. Pros, licenses and insurance

Pros must hold the licenses and insurance their services require and keep them current. Onaro reviews pros' licenses and insurance before they can take jobs and asks for renewals, but Onaro does not guarantee any pro's qualifications, work, or conduct, and our review isn't an endorsement. You remain free to ask a pro for their license or proof of insurance.

9. Ratings, messages and content

•
After a job you can rate the pro, and pros can rate customers. Ratings must be honest and based on your actual experience.
•
Content you add (messages, photos, descriptions, ratings) must be lawful and appropriate. You keep ownership of your content and give Onaro a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store and display it to run, improve and promote the Platform (for example, showing a quote or job photos to the customer and pro on that job). We won't use your photos of your home in marketing without your permission.
•
We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

10. Onaro’s ownership

•
Onaro LLC owns the Platform: the Onaro and Onaro Pro apps and websites, including their software, design, text, graphics, and the Onaro name and logo.
•
“Onaro”, “Onaro Pro” and the Onaro logo are trademarks of Onaro LLC.
•
We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable permission to use the Platform as these Terms allow. Nothing else about the Platform is licensed to you.
•
Don’t copy, sell or reuse any part of the Platform, or use our name or logo, without our written permission. Your own content stays yours (see the section above).

11. Rules for using Onaro

Don't:
•
use the Platform for anything illegal, unsafe, discriminatory or abusive, or to harass anyone;
•
make false requests, false reports or fraudulent payments;
•
contact a pro or customer you met on Onaro to take jobs off the Platform;
•
misuse anyone's personal information, including addresses and phone numbers shared for a job;
•
copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Platform, or try to access it in ways we haven't allowed;
•
record people in their homes without their consent.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, put others at risk, or harm the Platform.

12. Safety

In an emergency, call 911 first. Report safety concerns in the app. Onaro may share information with law enforcement or emergency services when we believe it's needed to protect someone's safety.

13. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, Onaro disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any pro will be available.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: - Onaro isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, or lost data; - Onaro isn't liable for the acts, omissions, work or products of pros, or for property damage or injury caused by a pro or customer; and - Onaro's total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of the fees you paid Onaro for the job involved or US$100.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
You agree to indemnify Onaro against claims arising from your misuse of the Platform or your breach of these Terms.

15. Resolving disputes

Talk to us first. Most issues are solved quickly through the app or by emailing privacy@onaro.app. Please give us 30 days to try to resolve a dispute informally.
Arbitration. If we can't resolve it, you and Onaro agree to settle disputes through binding individual arbitration instead of in court, except that either side may bring an eligible claim in small claims court. You and Onaro waive the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class or representative action. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing us your name and a statement that you opt out.

16. Changes to these Terms or the Platform

We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept the updated Terms. We may change, add or remove features of the Platform.

17. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Onaro and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the safety of others. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as payments owed, content license, disclaimers, limits of liability and dispute resolution) survive.

18. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; Onaro may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any in-app rules shown when you book are the entire agreement between you and Onaro about the Platform.
